Failure!

So I have been happy that I've seen steady progress (as much as can be achieved in a week anyway) but this weekend was a miserable failure. I had several GREAT opportunities to take pictures - an Asian market, the firehouse, rock climbing - but almost none turned out. Boo :(. I guess failure is part of the process.. but it's not fun.

Oh well. Here are the only two that I liked.

The Beginning

So I got a new camera for Mother's Day last week - yea! I know, funny gift to give a blind girl who's never used anything but a point and shoot, but I'm blissfully delighted with it! Plus, I'm always up for a challenge! Now I just need to figure out how to use it...

It's funny, I kind of thought that when you had a nice camera you could just pick it up and get great pictures... I'm finding that's not the case. I suppose if it were all these photographers wouldn't be in business! So I'm on a quest to learn how to use my camera, and learn to take a few good pictures. I wanted to track my progress and thought this was a good way to do it!




I love taking pictues of my son - you'll see a lot of him on here. Not only is he pretty photogenic, I can usually bribe him to let me take pictures whenever I want. Since I'm trying to shoot a few every day this is a very important trait! It'll cost me a fortune in Legos, though!
